The majority of multi-level ninja gym courses are designed with two layers in mind, each layer featuring an abundance of obstacles for participants to overcome. Access to the upper level can be gained via a staircase or climbing net, and a slide provides a swift and exciting descent back down to the starting point. To ensure the safety of all players, the truss structures of warrior course ninja are often covered with protective netting or a safety platform.
